The Adinkra collection from Rugs and Wall art by MD of Makel Designs provides several options and virtually endless possibilities surrounding 3 Adinkra Symbols; Sankofa (Learn from the past), DenKyem (Adaptation) and GyeNyame (Except with God). Look these up and prepare to be amazed. While you search for these symbols, know that we will offer more types in the upcoming Adinkra 2 & 3 collections, but if there is one that is not provided as an option here, you can still order it as a custom commission. 

These rugs and wall art pieces are all orginal art work, handmade and one-of-a-kind items. They are uniquely finished with details about the motif/symbol, Ankara or matching fabrics binding for a clean, finished look on the back. The rugs have skid-reducing features made of acrylic. The wall art pieces have a hardboard back and are fitted with hanging hardware.

These pieces are designed to functionally and artistically add cultural symbolism. Symbols are great reminders as we rise, live the day and reflect in the evening.

Highly customizable beyond the options offered here, note that some details and Color tones(as viewed on different devices) may vary slightly once completed. Due to their artisanal nature, they are each subject to slight colour variations due to yarn dye lots, especially if not ordered together.

Depending on the orientation or shape of the artwork (portrait, landscape, square, rectangular), the finished piece will fit as much as possible within the following dimensions: Small (15 "W x18 "L/H), Medium (25 "W x30" L/H), and large (67 "W x67" L/H). If you want a particular size within the dimensions mentioned, include those details in the order comments. We will produce the item according to the sample item image if there are no specifications in the order notes.
